So, what did you do for Pi Day of the Century: 3/14/15?

I've been showing video from Vi Hart's YouTube Channel every YouTube Wednesday this month. Vi is actually anti Pi. In other words, she's Taoist, but the math is spot on in all her videos! You can see her Pi Playlist above.

I also went to the 29th annual LIMACON on Friday 3/13/15. I have been attending or speaking at the LI MAth CONferences for the last 25 years! This conference attracts Math teachers and Professors from all over the USA and always takes place at SUNY Old Westbury during the Friday closest to Pi Day. Actually, it's supposed to be closest to the birthday of the conference founder, Dr. Jon Pil Lee. I suppose the first LIMACON was around 3/18/1986. This year, the conference started with the LIMACON Awards originally founded by Judy Broadwin (photo above). This was followed by 3 presentations I chose to attend: "CC Algebra and EngageNY," "CC Geometry and Geogebra" and, last but not least, "CC with TI-84 Plus CE or TI-nSpire CX CAS." These presentations were very well done, well attended and interesting. However, LIMACON is just not the same without Dr. Lee, Judy Broadwin or the Rev. Calvin Butts (president of the college for several years):

Today, 3/14/15, I decided it was high time to continue work on my PAEMST 2015 application. I added the following supporting documents. I've done everything else, including the class video, except for the huge essay. It's all due 5/1/15, so wish me luck!

Well, that's all folks.
